As a former educator, I approach school visits with a deep knowledge of content standards and a desire to not only engage students but to encourage them to use their own unique interests as a catalyst for their writing. The vast majority of writing a person will do in school (and in life in general) falls under the umbrella of nonfiction writing. Why not invite a nonfiction writer to your school?
