A fast-paced, interactive 30 minute assembly on rhyme and poetry featuring Rebecca’s newest book Rover Rolled Over and her published finger rhymes with props & plenty of wiggle time. Rover will roll out of his doghouse and make an appearance! Students will leave with strategies to help them write about the world around them.

Biographies: Let’s Hear it for Heroes GRADES 3-6

A thought-provoking 40 minute assembly on Malala Yousafzai, Cesar Chavez & Charles Loring Brace (founder of the Orphan Trains) on how one person (YOU) can make a difference.  Features standards-based writing tips. Books covered: For the Right to Learn: Malala Yousafzai’s Story, Orphan Trains, & Cesar Chavez plus Rover Rolled Over (if desired).

All the Drama, Fame and Dirt Behind the History GRADES 6-12

A lively 40 minute assembly focused on the Booth Brothers and their relationship with one another, President Lincoln, and the Civil War as well as the real history behind Rebecca’s new middle grade historical fiction novel One Fine Voice. Features writing tips and how to apply the lessons writers learn from rejection to persevere and achieve life goals.

I’m also available to teach professional development sessions on classroom writing instruction.

Vibrant and engaging are the two best descriptors for presentations by Rebecca Langston-George.

From the moment author, educator and presenter Rebecca Langston-George enters a school campus, she is connecting with both students and staff alike. She’s a skilled speaker, comfortable in the classroom with a range of ages. She expertly tailors her presentations to each grade level and includes interactive components. My TK-8 grade charter school hosts an author every year, and after Rebecca’s visit the staff raved about it. We highly recommend her as a presenter.
